Praying for Missions

In missions, the value of prayer as a spiritual act and also as a ministry of reaching the unreached on one’s knees has proven to be more than just a routine of all nights and mountain top experience. The prayers of many mission lovers have brought a lot of impact on the progress we see in the issue of the Great Commission. Spending 10 minutes praying for the following, we believe will bring a lot of testimonies.

Praying for missions is one of the ways by which one can greatly be involved in missions without getting to the fore front of mission activities. This aspect of missions’ involvement has been proven to be one of the most effective ways through which missions can be supported. We are trusting God for more kneeling saints for missions this year more than ever. The reason is that, mission enterprise is becoming more challenging for Mission sending agencies and indirectly for the frontier Missionaries on the field in terms of less support from believers and local Churches, and also the direct challenges the Missionaries face daily on the fields. We believe that if we will pray, these and many other missions challenges will be overcome through the grace of God. Below are few prayer concerns you can take to our Lord even now. May the Lord of missions strengthen you as you do so. Amen.

July Mission Prayer Concerns:

    1. Bless the Name of God for all the ministry opportunities and fruits the Lord granted us on all the fields last quarter. Ask God to establish such fruits like souls won to Christ, discipled lives and newly planted Churches.

    2. Thank God for the lives and families of all Missionaries faithfully laboring to bring God’s glory down in all our mission fields. Pray for the Lord’s protection over these faithful labourers on the fields.

    3. Thank God for Triumphant Christ Baptist Church the newly planted Church in Sierra Leone. Ask God for God’s breath on the Church to grow the Church to maturity both spiritually and physically. Pray for God’s provision to meet the necessary needs of the Church.

    4. Thank God for the GMB ministry work in Mozambique. Appreciate Him for the lives of the Missionaries and all co-labourers on the field. Pray that the peace of God will rule their hearts as they see to providing every necessary support to grow the existing Baptist Churches in the land.

    5. Praise God for the GMB Ministries in Mali. Thank God for the lives of all our Missionaries and the fellow workers on the field. Pray against every spirit of disunity among the few Christians in this land. Ask God to unite brethren on the field for the major purpose of reaching the whole land for Christ.

    6. Appreciate God for His blessing on our ministry works in Burkina Faso. Thank God for what He is doing in Dori (Yoruba and Fulani), Bobo Dioulaso, Garango/Sanogho and in Diabo. Ask God to strengthen all the Missionaries working in these areas and bless the works.

    7. Chad, our newest International field, is growing in reaching the Chadians for Christ. Bless the name of our Lord for this. Ask God to establish the lives of all the members of Zion Baptist Church, Ndjamena. Pray that the Lord will give us more open doors to the hearts of men and women of the land.

    8. Worship the Lord for the GMB ministries in Cote d’Ivoire and Republic of Benin. Thank God for the fruits the Schools of Missions in these countries are producing. Pray that the Lord through this ministry will expand His Kingdom in these places.

    9. The cost of work on our International Mission field is daily increasing. For instance, the cost of purchasing land (a plot) in Bamako is about N7 million. The cost of registering mission vehicles is over N.5million. Ask God to rain His blessing upon us through mission minded men and women, Churches, organization etc.

    10. Come against every territorial spirit militating against the spread of the Gospel in the following countries; Mozambique, Sierra Leone; Cote d’Ivoire; Republic of Benin; Chad Republic; Mali; Burkina Faso; Tanzania and London. Pray that there will be free flow of the Gospel of Christ in all these countries.

    11. Thank God for those who volunteered to go on a medical and discipleship mission to Chad. Praise God for protection and the wonderful fruits that came as a result of the trip. Commit the volunteers who will be going to Mozambique to the Lord. Ask God to grant them abiding fruits on the trip.

Thank God for the grace to pray
