 1. To see to how Nigerian Baptist Churches will grow both spiritually and physically.
 2. To mobilize Baptist Churches for Church planting in areas that Baptist presence or gospel is yet to be felt.
 3. To mobilize Baptist Churches for Church planting among the unreached people groups that have been surveyed.
 4. To organize seminars or conferences for workers in Churches, Associations Conferences that will enhance their effectiveness in areas of their calling.
 5. To organize leadership training especially for Pastors and Church leaders, and discipleship seminars that will enable the spiritual growth of Baptist members.
 6. To organize evangelical outreaches in areas   that needs the spread of God’s word.
 7. To coordinate and mobilize for various outreaches on the mission fields.

Zonal Coordinators

  1. To oversee the missions work and activities in both Home and International Mission fields.
  2. To see to the wellbeing of Missionaries and the Pastors working on the fields.
  3. To get the Baptist members informed through the Home and International Missions emphasis booklets about our mission endeavours.
  4. To organize Mission Awareness Conferences in our Baptist Churches for cohesive missions thrusts.
  5. To recommend for engagement a suitable and mission minded person for the position of a Missionary as support staff on any vacant or newly established field.
  6. To connect the Churches, Organizations, Associations, Conferences and Individuals to the Missionaries for visitation and mission work on the fields.
  7. To mobilize Churches for missions – adoption of Pastors, Missionaries and their Children, Churches and other workers on the field.

The Research and Statistics Unit:

Research and Media is a service division within the Board that focuses on facts finding ministries and publicity of the activities of the Board and the Convention.
The Research and Statistics Unit is in charge of existing Church Survey, Mission field Survey, Unreached people group research and the Statistic of the entire Convention. This service unit serves the Convention in the following ways:
  1. Networking with all arms of the Convention to gather useful information into the Convention Database.
  2. Carrying out annual survey of the Baptist Churches and mission fields to assess the states of the Churches and fields, and gather general relevant information for mission mobilization.
  3. Partnering with other Great Commission Movement for unreached people group research.
  4. Analyzing research information to clarify critical realities of issues.
  5. Informing the Convention family through regular report of research findings.
  6. Publicizing and promoting mission activities of the Board through print media such as mission magazines, posters, handbills, flyers, etc and electronic media such as documentary of mission works in various mission fields on compact disc, television, radio etc.
  7. Production of all Mission materials such as Home and International Mission emphasis, Information booklet, Prayer bulletin, mission programmes, etc for dissemination of mission information.
   8. Keeping important records of GMB and the Convention.
