The Great Commission starts with the word 'go' which simply means we must not be stationary as regards Kingdom business. It is the will of God for us to leave our Jerusalem to Judea and go as far as to the wither most part of the world. To accomplish this, we must be ready to make it a regular duty to go places that the Gospel is less preached (Mission fields).
Visit to any Mission field will afford you means:
i. to encourage the Missionaries on the fields
ii. to enable you to know what the Missionaries on the fields are passing through and see how one can be of help.
iii. to assist the Missionaries with some mission works such as outreaches, discipleship, Church planting etc.
Going for missions can be done as a short term mission trip to fields/ areas where your career can be of great use. To do this, you can join the Missions Volunteer Service Scheme of the Convention or call the Missions office to link you with a Missionary on the field, for mission trips.
