His Death Brought Many to Christ
God can use any situation either bad or good to bring honour and glory to His holy name. This was the case when death claimed the life of a “man of peace” at Ungwan Galadima, on 12th March 2005. He was the man who would usually welcome us and mobilize people for worship whenever we were on a visit. We had thought that his death would negatively affect the new Church planted in his village but, on the contrary, it brought more souls to Christ.
Immediately we received the news of his death, the Missionary on ground went to sympathize with the family and the church. During this time, the Men Missionary Union of a Baptist Church, Kotangora visited the field and were taken to the village. Their presence attracted many people to hear the gospel. Through the condolence message and gifts to the deceased family coupled with free medical treatments they gave to the people, many souls came to the saving knowledge of Christ by accepting Him as their Lord and Saviour, including a Fulani man, name withheld. The Church’s membership, which was not more than 25 before his death, suddenly rose to 60. This indeed is God’s doing.
Pray for the late man’s family, the converts and especially the Fulani man that God will establish them in Christ.
