GLOBAL MISSIONS BOARD (NBC) SCHOOL OF MISSIONS
WEEK END SCHOOL OF MISSIONS
The Training Division of the Global Missions Board is providing practical skills and academic development to Missionaries, Evangelists, Church planters and others to enhance their effectiveness in various endeavours within the church environment.
The Division invites applications for admission into 2008 session of the weekend school of missions; a newly introduced programme for mission expansion, leading to the award of a Certificate in Missions.
PROSPECTS: This course is designed for professionals and others who cannot undertake full time residential study in any of the existing campuses of the school of Missions. The study is also suitable for those who wish to embark on short-term mission endeavours.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS: a Christian with a definite call to mission, and a minimum of WASCE or GCE Certificate
MODALITY: The school runs on Friday evenings 6. 00 to 8.30 p.m, .Saturday mornings 8. 00 a. m to 2.00 p.m and on Environmental Saturday, 9: 30 a.m. to 1: 30 p.m. The complete course will run for three modular terms for a year. First Term: August 29, 2008 – November 29, 2008. Second Term: January 19, 2009 - April 6, 2009. Third Term: May 3, 2009 - July 27, 2009. Field practical: August 2007
VENUE: The conference room of the Global Missions Board office at Total Garden, Ibadan, Oyo State Ibadan.
AWARD: The graduates of this program will bag an award of Certificate of Missions: They will function as bi-vocational Church planters, Field Evangelists and Tent Makers Missionary working for themselves, Churches, Associations, Conferences, and the Global Missions Board.
Note: No accommodation is provided, and each student is responsible for his or her own subsistence. Churches, Associations and Conferences are encouraged to sponsor students from their constituencies.
